Privacy Policy
This policy describes how personal data may be processed when you visit portivo.org and its documentation. The website is informational and does not provide user accounts, forms or newsletters.
1. Controller and contact
Dimitris Galatsanos, publisher of the Portivo project, is the controller for optional website analytics and the content of portivo.org. Privacy questions and data-subject requests may be sent to info@portivo.org. Please do not send passwords, private keys or other operational secrets by email.
2. Data processing
Website delivery and security
The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub states that it logs and stores visitor IP addresses for security purposes when a Pages site is visited. GitHub may also process request time, requested resource, browser or device information and related service usage data under its own privacy terms. Portivo does not receive direct access to the raw GitHub Pages IP logs.
Optional Google Analytics
Only after consent, Google Analytics may receive online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, referring source, viewed pages, interactions, downloads and technical usage information. The measurement is used to understand aggregate website usage and improve content, navigation and performance. Advertising signals and ad personalization signals are disabled.
External links
Links to GitHub, PayPal, Google and other external services do not transmit data to those services merely because the link appears. When you activate an external link, the destination processes the resulting request under its own privacy terms.

4. Recipients and processors
- Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, provides Google Analytics after consent.
- GitHub, Inc. and its relevant affiliates provide repository and GitHub Pages hosting.
- PayPal and other external destinations act under their own terms only when you choose to visit them.
Personal data is not sold by the Portivo project.
5. International transfers
Google and GitHub operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the EEA. Their published safeguards may include adequacy decisions, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. 6. Retention
- The Portivo consent preference is recognized for up to 180 days.
- Google Analytics cookies may remain for up to 2 years unless withdrawn or deleted earlier.
- Analytics event retention follows the settings of the Google Analytics property and applicable Google controls.
- GitHub determines retention of its hosting and security logs under its own policies.
- Privacy correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond, establish compliance or meet legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time through . Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority or your local EEA supervisory authority. Requests are normally answered without undue delay and within one month, subject to the GDPR.
8. Children and automated decisions
The website is intended for professional and technical audiences and is not directed at children. Portivo does not use website analytics for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
9. Security and changes
The website uses HTTPS and is published as static content. No Internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. This policy may be revised when services, purposes or legal requirements change. Material consent-related changes cause the preference to be requested again.
