Power infrastructure monitoring
SNMPv3 UPS telemetry, driver selection, incidents and switch correlation.
UPS model
UPS assets are stored separately from switches and reference encrypted SNMPv3 Monitoring Credential profiles. A UPS can protect multiple switches, with Site-aware assignment rules.

Normalized telemetry
Power drivers normalize standards/vendor evidence into power state, battery state/charge, runtime, load and additional electrical or alarm telemetry where the device reports it. Unsupported objects remain unavailable rather than being converted into false health information.
Incidents and correlation
Portivo can create UPS On Battery, Power Restored, Low Battery and related power incidents. When an offline switch is assigned to a UPS, Portivo can include power evidence and a probable/high-confidence power explanation without presenting an unverified cause as fact.
Temporary transport noise
The monitoring path retains last valid power state across temporary SNMP transport failures and uses confirmation behavior so transient communication noise does not automatically become false power incidents.
Polling, details and incident confidence
Regular polling collects a portable core of identity, output source, battery state, charge, runtime, load and alarms when supported. On-demand Details can query a broader vendor surface without increasing background load.
Unsupported objects are omitted rather than rendered as meaningful values. Temporary SNMP failures preserve last-valid telemetry and do not create reachability noise. On-battery and recovery states use confirmation windows before incident history changes.
Correlation boundary
Switch-to-UPS assignments provide context. Portivo reports a probable power cause only when assigned-UPS evidence supports it; simultaneous loss of switch and UPS management connectivity is not proof of hardware failure.
